Christmas Day

Oh the magic of Christmas morning! The kids were not up too early thanks to the wild parties from the night before but as soon as they were up, they were ready to open presents. Klein and Preslee got a kitchen to share. Klein also got a Leappad Explorer, clothes for her doll, wooden food, a Rapunzel doll, a pink ski helment and Just Dance for Kids. Preslee got a baby doll with a stroller, some little dolls, wooden food, and a toy guitar. Max got lots of Legos, Wii games, DS games, baseball stuff, and a baseball helmet. The kids were then spoiled by both sets of Grandparents. Because church landed right in the middle of the fun, the opening presents lasted most of the day. Grandpa and Grandma Major came over after church and then later we went to see Grandpa and Grandma Hansen because they got really sick. Jason surprised me with some Ugg boots and I finally got a Kindle-- maybe it will stop the books from overtaking our house. It was a wonderful Christmas. We are very blessed!

Christmas Eve at the Major's

We started the party pretty early with the Major's. As always, DeeAnne had wonderful food and fun games for the kids. They each made a scrapbook page and then they played a pass the candy game. The girls all got socks and the boys got IQ puzzles. Max had a blast with his older cousins- he especially loves Jake. Klein loves to be with her cousins too. Preslee kept having messy diapers so she had to keep changing into fresh clothes. The kids were all so excited and full of energy.

Christmas Eve with the Hansen's

Christmas Eve was a busy night. We started at the Major's and then headed over to the Hansen's. We had prime rib and potatoes for dinner with lots of appetizers. We then had a short program. The Christmas Story was read and acted out with costumes and talents were shared. I read a story called Christmas Day in the Morning about a boy who gets up early and milks for his dad on Christmas. We were all in tears. Grandma Dixie gave all the boys ties and all the girls pioneer bonnets. It was a fun evening with family.

Random December Pics

The girls in their Christmas dresses... I couldn't get them both to look at me. They just kept looking at each other and laughing.

Grandma DeeAnne gave us some mischievous Christmas elves. The kids loved to wake and find out what they had been doing in the night. Once they even showed up in the fridge!

Preslee enjoyed licking the frosting...

I got a picture of Max doing some service for our neighbors. I can't get him to wear anything but shorts...
Max finished his Jr. Mustang basketball season. He had a great year and continues to improve. We really need to get a hoop outside for him because he loves to play.

Grandma's Christmas Party

I am a little slow getting some of these pictures on but I wanted to do it before the new year starts. These pictures are from my Grandma Maxine's annual Christmas party. She has Santa come every year and the kids can perform a talent if they choose. Max and Marshall threw the football back and forth for their talent. Preslee did not like Santa but Max and Klein were both happy to sit on his lap and tell what they wanted for Christmas.

First Santa Visit

Last night we had planned to go to Temple Square but the wind and our late start made that impossible so we ate in Riverdale and then visited the little drive through light show in Willard. We were lucky to visit Santa too. I mostly wanted to post the darling picture of Preslee with her hat and smile
Cute girls, cute hats
.
Preslee didn't want anything to do with Santa
Klein didn't want to tell him what she wanted. She said it was a secret.
Max had a pretty long list

Let the fun of December begin!

Thanksgiving Weekend and Other Random Pictures

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving break. I am definitely not looking forward to going back to school tomorrow but only 18 more school days and then another long break. I love this time of year but things at school are not very productive. I love the excitement and the energy. I love the parties and time with family. I love that the kids are so excited and happy. I feel like I have much to do to be ready butmy goal is to stress as little as possible and enjoy every minute.

Here are my cute girls with their matching dresses. Preslee almost made it through all of church today but only because she slept until nearly 9:00. They were all tired this morning after a long weekend of fun.
Yesterday we visited my Grandma Maxine. The kids had a blast running on her deck and out in her driveway. For some reason they had a lot of energy to release. You can see their red noses and cheeks from the cold. My grandma lives up on the hill in Richmond and has the best views of the valley. She also has a great wrap around deck that the kids love. It is always fun to visit grandma.

I put the tree up and the kids had it decorated in no time at all. I had to do a little rearranging but they did a pretty good job. Jason got the lights up on the house too. It feels a lot like Christmas here now but I am glad we don't have as much snow as last year at this time. I do hope that Beaver Mountain opens soon. Max and Klein are excited to ski. We went to the Beaver Mountain office to get our passes and Ted and Marge were so cute with the kids. I love Beaver Mountain and don't think I will ever ski any where else. The best part of our tree are the season passes that we hang up from each year.

Here is one of the very few pictures I took on Thanksgiving day. We ate at my parents and it was wonderful. My mom put all the girls at one table and the boys at the other. Jason did all the dishes when we were done eating to solidify his position as the favorite son in law.
Here are just a few pictures of the snow from the past two weekends. Klein is wearing her snow clothes from last year. She has grown so much! I am still hunting down some clothes for Preslee. She is determined to do what the big kids are doing no matter what. She was fascinated with the snow and did not wan to be left out.

Jason and I celebrated our 11th Anniversary on November 17. We spent the following Saturday night at Little America. We did a lot of shopping in two days. It is always nice to get away. I am married to an amazing man and I love him more than anything. I can't believe it has already been 11 years. Time hurries by too quickly.

Jr. Mustang

I need a change from the Halloween pictures so I am posting a few of Max playing some basketball. He has a lot to learn but he is pretty cute...

Here is Max's biggest fan...
