Klein's 1st Haircut

Klein has never had her hair cut but tonight I just had to do something. She has beautiful blonde hair that has just enough curl to make it impossible to comb through, especially because she can't sit still and because when she sees the brush she runs away. It was only about three inches but hopefully that will help the ends not get so snarly. I jokingly asked her if she thought her hair would turn brown if we cut it (Tangled allusion) and then she got kind of scared so I had to hold her after that. I had to bribe her with a treat so afterwards we ran into Macey's in the pouring rain and got some cookies; donuts were her first choice but they didn't have any with sprinkles.

Baseball

Last Saturday, Max unexpectedly was asked to join a Super League team. I am not sure who is more excited- Jason or Max. He will be playing for the Providence Wolves. The first game is tomorrow; a double header in Farmington. Jason is also coaching Max's Providence team, the Mudcats. I am sure I will have many more pictures to post but isn't he cute in his uniform?

Two very cute and, I hope, die hard fans...

Happy Birthday Jason!

Isn't he cute?
He also happens to be one amazing husband and father...
His birthday is officially tomorrow but I knew I wouldn't have time to post anything. He was a wonderful gift to his mom on Mother's Day way back in 1977.

Thanks Mom!

Since I really could never adequately express my gratitude to my mom, I am not going to try to thank her for the millions of things that she has done for me but I still want to let her know how much I love and appreciate her. My mom is amazing and I was blessed to be raised by such a wonderful, caring woman.

Last Sunday, we celebrated her 60th birthday. Many people came to wish her a happy birthday which is a testament to the wonderful person she is.
I have many memories of my mom. I will never forget the many mornings we spent studying for the spelling bee when I was in fourth grade. There are also the countless swim meets and volleyball tournaments that she drove me to and then cheered me on. For the 13 years I was coaching volleyball at MC, the state tournament was one of our favorite weekends. I talk to my mom or see her almost every day. She is definitely one of my very best friends and I don't know what I would do without her. She is the one person that really understands how I feel and I think it is because we are so much alike. I only hope that I can be the kind of mom that my mom has been to me. I love you, Mom!

I also need to thank another amazing mother- Jason's mom DeeAnne. She has been so good to me and my kids. I am very grateful for her love and support. She welcomed me into her family from the start and she is a blessing in our lives.
