We had a very busy Easter weekend. On Friday afternoon, we headed to Baby Animal Days. I was very glad to have Jason's parents along for the fun. The kids loved the train and the few animals that were there. Klein is my little animal lover and spent time talking to each one. Max, on the other hand, was pretty concerned about getting a balloon sword and couldthink of nothing else until he had one in his hand. Then he wanted to check everything out. We rode the train but decided that the pony ride line was too long.
On Saturday, my mom had an Easter Egg hunt at her house. The kids always have a blast. My mom takes good care of everyone. I just wish she would take care of herself. On the Monday after Easter, she took her 4th LifeFlight Helicopter ride to McKay Dee Hospital and had more heart stents put in. She now has five... I guess one for each of her kids. Hopefully, she will not do that again any time soon.
On Sunday, we had Easter dinner at our house with the Major family and it was so fun to have everyone here. I was nervous about the weather but at least the sun was out. The kids searched for Easter eggs in teams and then the boys played ball until it was time to call it a day. Max still hasn't caught up on his sleep since last weekend.

The Monday Easter, we said good bye to Jason's grandpa, Louis Gunnell. He and Jason were very close and Jason got to speak at the funeral. It was a very rainy day which made it hard for the graveside service. We were lucky to spend a lot of time with Grandpa Gunnell before he died. He spent many Sundays here at our house. He has been pretty lonely since his wife passed away about 2 1/2 years ago but he did make it home in time to celebrate their anniversary. It made Easter even more special to remember the great blessing of the Plan of Salvation and our Savior's atonement and resurrection that will make it possible to live together again.
