Bear Lake

Bear Lake! Wow! We had two days and one night of serious fun and made the most of our time there. By Friday of the same week I was having Cal which is hard to believe. I guess all of the chasing brought on labor. I love our week at Bear Lake and the kids love it too. Notice all that many of the pictures of Preslee are of her running away from me. She has gotten to be so adventurous and too independent for my liking. Thanks mom for another great trip!

Tournament of Champions

The last tournament of the summer and it was a good one. The team played especially well on the first day and won both games. Max had a great tournament and I was proud of him for a lot of different reasons. I was able to use my new camera and I love it! It takes fabulous pictures. The team played in Lehi on the first day and we stayed in Park City. On the second day the games were in Heber City but the weather was kind of crazy. It was nice for a while and then it got cloudy and rainy. Unfortunately, the team didn't win on the second day and so they didn't make it to the final round of play. We stayed at Little America and did some shopping and came home. I am so grateful that my parents and Jason's parents were willing to help me out with Preslee. I actually got to sit and watch a few games.
This boy in his uniform melts my heart. He has worked so hard all year and did not miss a single practice or game. At one point in the summer we had organized baseball six days a week but he would still come home and want to work with his dad. It has been a great opportunity for Jason and Max to really bond and get closer. I am glad that Jason has been willing to put in the time to coach and work with Max.

I love this picture of Max- what a great kid!
Any stay at a hotel had better involve swimming. I swear, we could go on vacation to Hawaii and the kids' favorite part would still be swimming in the hotel pool. It was pretty late and dark but they were determined to swim.

Trying to Catch Up- Random July Fun

Life is crazy. We are in total adjustment mode with school starting, a new baby, and trying to finish the basement. I have obviously neglected my blog but will try to do some catching up. Unfortunately, it is almost midnight and I am feeling exhausted after a long week. These pictures are all from the month of July but don't really warrant a post of their own. I am already feeling nostalgic for the relaxed days of summer.

Preslee sporting her regular mischievous grin.
Max showing off his wooden bat. He really wanted one to be like the pros but after hitting a few balls with it decided that the metal bats are much more comfortable and don't hurt your hands so much.
Klein is getting too big. Forever she didn't want to take the training wheels off of her bike even though she knew that she could ride with out. One day she hopped on Max's bike and just started pedaling without anyone's help. I went outside and there she was, riding like a champ.
Oh Preslee... you can just see that she is thinking of some kind of trouble to get into
We took some pictures around the temple for Macklee's 8th birthday. The girls tagged along on this gorgeous night and I couldn't help but snap a few of them. I love my new camera!

Cute sisters. A lot of people comment on how different they look. I thought Cal might end up with coloring like Klein but so far his eyes are looking pretty brown.
I love this picture of the girls. This was taken on the day of Klein's four year well check. She is still in the 99 percentile for height. This is just before she got four shots. On the way to the appointment she told me she wasn't going to cry when she got the shots and she didn't- I was pretty impressed at her bravery. I thought Preslee was going to be a lot smaller than Klein but she is in the 96 percentile for height. I would love for my girls to be tall.
Preslee cannot be outdone on anything and here she is riding the scooter. She is always on the go and getting more adventurous everyday. Unfortunately, that means a lot of chasing for me.
Cute Klein. I love that she loves to wear her "basketball" shorts like Max.
Max participated in a basketball camp and had a blast. On the last day of the camp he asked to wear his best clothes and have is hair gelled. He told me that he wanted to look good- it was pretty funny.
A day at the pool- we made it there at least once every week.

We made our annual trip to the North Ogden pool. It makes me wish Logan had put in a little more exciting pool. This one is a blast for the kids.
