South Cache Orangemen
Max had his first tournament as an "orangeman" this weekend. He played four games in Spanish Fork and Salem. It was a fun weekend and their team is looking really good. It will be a fun team to be a part of. They were playing in the 9u tournament because they were the only 8u team that signed up. They struggled a bit and didn't win any games but played awesome against some really big boys. Max has really improved and had two great hits. He also made some good plays at second base. One funny moment was when they were playing under the lights and he went after a ball, threw his arm out and the ball just seemed to jump in his glove. Preslee stayed with Ken and DeeAnne and I was glad I didn't have to chase her all weekend. Klein was good except for wanting tobe carried all the time. I didn't take very many pictures but here he is in his new uniform.

Family Picture Time
We finally had a family picture taken with the Major family. It has been forever since we have had a family picture... the last one of our little family was when Max was 9 months old. I couldn't find anything just right for the girls to wear so I ended up making them skirts and headbands. I think they turned out pretty cute. Here are a few pictures I snapped on the big day...

Preslee was not very cooperative but she looked darling. It got pretty hot and her little cheeks were bright red.

Here is what Preslee did most of the time. She has pretty well mastered walking and was intent on exploring the entire premises. She is a handful.

Back to School
Max is in second grade this year. He has Mrs. Olson and so far really likes her class. He isn't sure that he likes sitting all day in class but he loves PE and recess. He will only wear his basketball shorts to school which makes me crazy but he is pretty cute in them.

Klein will be going to preschool on Tuesday/ Thursday mornings at Jenny Painter's in Providence. We went to an open house and I was really impressed with what she does. Klein is so excited and loved her first day. She is pretty excited to have her own back pack too. I was able to run from school and take her on the first day. She is growing up way too fast!
Preslee's Birthday Bash
Here are some pictures of the big day. She was taking a few steps on her birthday but just one week later, she is a walking pro. She loves her little car and loved making a mess with her cupcake. Max and Klein were more excited for her birthday than she was but it didn't take her long to figure out what was hers. She was spoiled by her two grandma's and got lots of cute things. The best thing about a one year old is that they are excited about everything.

Klein also scored big on Preslee's birthday. We were so lucky to be able to get this Barbie Jeep from Klaire. Many of the neighborhood kids have Gators that they drive around and this has been Klein's dream forever. It is perfect! I can tell that Preslee is excited to someday drive it too. As for now, Klein probably won't be taking Preslee for rides because she needs to hone her driving skills.

End of Summer
It feels like summer is so far away already. The heat is still hanging on but we are back on school and trying to adjust. Oh, I miss summer...
We headed to Tony Grove with our favorite cousins for a picnic and some play time. It is so pretty up there and pretty crowded. The cool mountain air was just what we needed.

Happy First Birthday Miss P!
I can't believe it has been one year since little Preslee joined our family. She is definitely our runt but makes up for her small size with her big personality. She can hold her own with Max and Klein and I know in her head that she is thinking "I am big enough to do it." She goes down the stairs on her own and she can "jump" on the trampoline but she isn't quite walking yet. Klein is constantly trying to carry her around but Preslee throws a fit every time. She can "rock on" in the car and she does the best little "shake it" move whenever any type of music, including a cell phone ring, is heard. She is very curious and wants to be picked up only so she can see what she is missing out on. When she was smaller she was so snuggly but she is way to busy to snuggle anymore, unless it is really late at night. She loves to give a "kiss, kiss" and smack her lips especially when there are animals around. I am not sure what we would do without little Peanut or Scooby as we sometimes call her for who knows what reason. Hopefully she will get to enjoy her birthday presents because both Max and Klein are really looking forward to her little pink car. We love you Preslee!
She was born at 4:14 am- this picture was taken around 11 am on her birth day
Headed home...

One week old; this photo shoot was definitely an indication of her personality. We were hoping she would be asleep through the pictures but this is the only one where she cooperated. She was too interested in the world to keep her eyes closed.

Road Trip- 850 Miles of Fun
Our road trip this year was 850 miles long. We saw a lot of things and made some fun stops. Preslee had a rough time in the car but Max and Klein were really good. Max spent most of the ride with my parents. On Friday night we stayed in Bozeman. We drove through Idaho Falls, made a stop at Yesterday's Calf-A in Dell, Montana, visited Virginia City and then got to our hotel in Bozeman. The kids loved swimming at the hotel pool. We woke up on Saturday and headed South through Yellowstone where we saw one bear and plenty of buffalo. We got a great view of the falls and then came through Teton and stopped in Jackson for dinner at Bubba's. It rained while we were in Jackson for the third year in a row. We tried to buy some fireworks but the big store was closed so we drove to our little cabins in Thayne. We had ice cream at Rulon's and went to bed. On Sunday we just woke up and drove home. It was a fun trip but a lot of driving. It is fun to go with my parents and Max entertained them the entire trip. Until next year...
Here we are in Idaho Falls by the Snake River
It is an old schoolhouse and a pretty small place. The kids thought it was pretty neat and Preslee showed us her dance moves on the table.

Here are the kids in Virginia City. It is an old mining town full of historic buildings but not much else.
