Random Thoughts

Last Saturday Max and I headed to Beaver Mountain to take advantage of the gorgeous spring like skiing conditions. Max is getting much too good and I am very out of skiing shape. Sadly, I think that I will end up being the worst skier in the family. Good thing Jason will ski with me but maybe not if my legs burn after just two runs down the Ridge. After chasing Max down the hill most of the day, I vowed to get into shape so I can at least keep up.

Klein is the most easy going, content baby. She wakes up with a smile after sleeping for 12 hours straight. Most nights she is in bed by 6:30 and I listen intently to the monitor all night to make sure she is okay. The other morning I could hear her on the monitor and when I walked in to get her, she was holding it in both hands and talking into it. It was hilarious!

I have been trying to keep up with those darn resolutions. I really need to get some exercise but have turned into a multi-tasking maniac. When I think about walking on the treadmill for 30 minutes, I equate it with wasted time. To solve this problem I have downloaded a book to my iPod that I can only listen to while I am getting my heart rate going. It is working pretty well but I am breaking one of my rules of not "reading" more than one book at a time (I need one to read in the tub too). So far I have been on the treadmill more in the past month than in the whole year of 2008.

Hi! Cute pics. I'm all in for the girl's day ski idea (next year of course). Good luck with the resolutions. I too force the treadmill, but it's so boring! P.S. My mom gave me that Edgar Sawtelle book for Christmas, and I really liked it.

12 hours straight? Man I don't like you. Well I do, but I am jealous. Nathan is on a wake up every 30 minutes during the night schedule. My brain is starting to get fuzzy....

I'll be back on the fifth, so don't forget about me.

Such cute pics! I haven't been skiing in several years, so I'm sure it would be a disaster. I need to go, though!

That picture of Klein is SO cute. She is adorable!

I hear you on the exercise. I love getting it in, but I found myself trying to check email on my laptop while doing a DVD at home. Now that is pathetic. :)

How is Edgar Sawtelle?

Julie you rock! I need to read more...Maybe you could recommend a fast, easy read for me. The last thing I read was the Twilight series. I think those go down as a fast easy read. Anyway, I think it is terrific how much you read. I need to be more like you. And skiing oh man! I wish we could get our kids on the mountain. I love to ski. Haven't done it in years. So that is awesome Max is so good at such a young age!

Your kids are darling!!! Fun to see life in Cache Valley.

Keep in touch.
