Spring Break

Last year I remember thinking that we should definitely go somewhere for Spring Break in the future because a whole week can get very long. I was really wishing that we would have planned something this week, given the disastrous weather that we have been having. The kids are sick of being inside and we are in desperate need of sunshine.

When we go back to school, my AP kids will only have three weeks until the test. I think this year my students are better prepared and hopefully my pass rate will improve. On the other hand, I really don't care about the pass rate because I love that so many kids are interested in taking AP English. I have a wide variety of students which makes my class interesting and fun to teach.

I am really looking forward to golfing this year. I have only swung my clubs a few times and can't wait to play. I have kind of been helping with the girl's golf team but the weather hasn't really allowed much golf for anyone. I feel bad for the girls because they have to play in tournaments without getting the chance to practice. Last year I golfed at least once a week while pregnant. The few times that I played after having Preslee were pretty good rounds and so I am anxious to play this year and continue to improve-- I have big plans this year to win some money...

Since I can't seem to accomplish anything lately, I have been reading a lot. I don't want to start any major projects because they just seem so daunting, so instead, I read. I have read some good books lately (check out my GoodReads list to the right).

Well, I read when I can stay awake that is... my goal for March was to get my tail back to the gym so I have been going faithfully at 5:30 am Monday through Thursday. I love working out and I love being sore-- well kind of-- but it does make me feel like I have accomplished something. Klein goes to bed at 8:00 and I usually end up laying down by her and falling asleep. I then get up, attempt to do something else, but the grogginess kicks in so I just go to bed.

My goal for April is to do some scrapbooking projects that are laying around the basement and to put pictures on all of my cute Stamp Club pages. We will see how it goes... my February goal was to catch up my journal/ start journaling regularly again but I pretty much failed at that. Maybe this summer I can get back on track... well, I seriously wonder if I will be able to get anything done again with three kids.

I love being home with my kids. All three of them amaze me every single day. Max has so much energy and enthusiasm for life. Every morning this week he would ask "What are we going to do today, Mom?" Klein is growing up so fast. She loves to take care of Preslee and her "babies"-- I can tell when she is taking care of them because the talks in a very high voice. Preslee is growing so quickly and starting to get around. She is really close to crawling which I am excited for and dread at that same time. She is very observant and watches everything with a curious stare. She definitely doesn't miss anything.

All right, enough rambling for now. Here are some random pictures of the past month....

Maybe we should have a flex off.

Also, after this year maybe I will be able to keep up with you hiking. Ah who am I kidding.
