Yeah, it's been a while... it has taken me this long to get settled back into the school routine. I feel like I am almost caught up with grading (75 essays to go!) but probably will not be done until next summer. We are busy around here with baseball and football and school and life.
We had family pictures again in September- this time with my family. It is tough to get three kids to look at the camera... but they are all darn cute!

Preslee is growing up too fast. For about two straight weeks she was in tears getting 8 teeth at a time. The best part of the day is going to get her out of the crib. She is so excited and gives big hugs and kisses and pats my back. She loves animals and squeals with delight when she sees a dog. My parents have a "new" farm dog and she loves to hang out with it on the deck. She also loves to eat its food (yes, its disgusting... she also eats cat food, for the record). She will no longer sit in the high chair and will no longer let anyone feed her. She wants to be independent and try everything. She is too busy to snuggle but when she was teething, I was able to sneak some quality snuggles in during middle of the night. She is always better for her dad and loves to be on the go. On Conference Saturday, we drove to Bear Lake for some sunshine. She was the first one to get into the water.

Klein is my sweet little blondie. She started preschool and goes on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Her favorite question to ask is "what letter does that start with?" She loves to ride her bike and scooter. During family prayers (well, any prayer really) she repeats what is being said. She and Max now argue over who is going to say the prayer-- we often have to have two prayers to keep everyone happy. She loves to sing primary songs and play computer games. She really wants to play soccer and wants to practice kicking the ball. I hope to get her into gymnastics this fall or something just for her. She was really interested in playing baseball and wanted me to buy her pink pants and a pink bat... I am actually hoping to push her toward individual sports (tennis, golf, swimming, etc.). The drama of team sports is a little too intense for me. Klein lives on milk... she drank a bunch on our trip through the canyon and unfortunately, that milk reappeared about half way home. I don't get how puke can miss every floor mat and blanket and leather surface to embed itself in the hard to clean carpet. Aside from that, Klein brings so much sunshine into our home. She is growing up too fast too...

And then there is Max. I can't stand how this kid is growing up either. He is such a handsome kid, especially now that he combs his hair more often. He is energetic and creative. He can build anything with Legos and they are spread all over the house. I am glad that Preslee hasn't swallowed one yet. He is doing well in school and I had a great report from his teacher. His best subject is spelling. (I would say he gets that from me but there is probably a spelling error somewhere in this post so I don't want to embarrass myself) We have been reading scriptures every night (he won't let us skip a day) and he is working on memorizing the Articles of Faith. He has been doing chores around the house and is really helpful with his sisters. He is currently playing football and baseball and I just signed him up for basketball. He practices baseball once a week and continues to improve. I wish we were playing this fall or even in some tournaments but I guess we will have to wait until spring. I am excited about the team he is playing on and think that they will be really competitive. He is playing flag football this year but is already begging to play tackle next year... I am not sure about that. I would rather he play golf or something. So far, his football team has won every game- they have a good team and a good coach. Marshall and Chase play on his team so it is fun to go to games and hang out with friends and family. He still insists on wearing basketball shorts every day to school. I had to beg him to wear a polo shirt for pictures and yes, he had it on with basketball shorts and had to take a t-shirt to change into. Max is one of a kind and I love him so much. I am very proud of him and grateful for him in our family.
